NEW PARTNER STRENGTHENS NBG FAMILY

NBG has signed up another new merchant Partner. The latest recruit is Lincolnshire based Builders’ Merchant Company, a general builders merchant with three branches in Scunthorpe, Hull and Rotherham.

NBG partners are typically dynamic local businesses with a strong commitment to growth, service, quality and innovation and, as such, Builders’ Merchant Company fits perfectly the criteria for NBG membership. The company was set up in the 1930s but despite that long history the company has ambitious plans to expand to five branches in the next five years and Builders Merchants’ Company MD Duncan Thomson believes that joining NBG will be vial to the success of that plan.

“Joining NBG will help us take the business to another level and it feels like NBG is the natural progression for our company,” says Duncan. “As well as the deals, I’m really looking forward to being able to share information, best practice and ideas with other builders merchants: it’s good to talk!”

“We are delighted to welcome Builders Merchants’ Company to NBG,” says Nick Oates, NBG MD. “We only accept applications from financially stable, well-managed, independently-owned merchants and the company matches this profile perfectly. I know that the Builders Merchants’ Company has a strong and strategic growth plan and I agree with Duncan that joining NBG will make a significant contribution to that growth.”
