For both trade and DIY, our knowledgeable and friendly staff are proud of our reputation for providing excellent service. Back in 1982 when Ernest Milligan set up the first Kellaway branch (named after its Kellaway Avenue location), the first day’s takings of just £32.92 were a far cry from the numbers the company deals with today. The original delivery vehicle was a Mini van – a long way from the orange and blue 16 to 26 tonne trucks the company presently operates. Ernest retired in 1996 with his son, Julian taking over the reins. Since then the company has grown each year and now employs over 130 people. We are the largest independent builders merchant in our home city of Bristol, expanding in more recent years, we now have branches serving Bristol, Bath, South Gloucestershire, North and South Somerset, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.
