Description

Originally formed from James Walker (Leith) Group, the Walker Timber Group is part of a family- owned business which has been providing timber services since 1863. Our reputation stands on the quality of products and work that we offer, as well as industry-recognised accreditation.

Operating from six locations, strategically spread around the UK, we offer national reach while also providing specialist local knowledge and expertise. Put simply, our customers get the benefits of a large network with a personal touch.

We offer our customers a single point of contact and can provide everything for the build without needing to outsource from elsewhere – from the timber frame, floor and roof to MDF finishings. Our team can take care of estimates, contracts and design – right through to arranging the erection of the project. Bo’ness, Scotland – Walker Timber Ltd - From its modern 20-acre site at Bo’ness, Walker Timber delivers a full range of products and services to all sectors of Scotland’s construction industry.

Thanks to its long-term commitment to research and development, Walker Timber has been at the forefront of the timber frame sector for more than 50 years. Continued investment means that the company is fully geared up to provide a full range of high-performance products, including timber frame buildings, roofing, flooring, MDF and building products. Stafford, West Midlands – Cox Long Ltd - From its 10-acre site near Stafford, Cox Long serves its customers in the North West, the Midlands, Wales and the South West.

Since joining the Walker Timber Group in 2001, improvements in its plant machinery have given Cox Long a manufacturing facility that allows the company to produce a wide range of products, including I-beam floors, roof trusses and timber frame buildings. Wisbech, Cambridgeshire – Guildway Ltd - Guildway supplies customers in England and Wales from its modern 8-acre facility in Wisbech. Since its acquisition by the Walker Timber Group in 1998, Guildway has installed some of the most sophisticated, computerised frame makers and mechanisation in the industry and has become a leading force in the timber frame market.

Guildway continues to be at the forefront of the timber frame industry. It has earned a well-deserved reputation for its understanding of the problems faced by all types of builders in the private, commercial and public sectors.
