The Norden family have been associated with the bathroom, heating and plumbing supplies industry since 1966. After many years being part of public companies, they acquired the Lewisham based Fry & Pollard Ltd in 1984 by way of a management buyout. The Company then purchased ABK Bathrooms (Raynes Park) in 1988 and after setting up branches in Farnborough and East Grinstead the family company soon became the largest independent distributor of heating materials and in particular gas appliances, in the south of England.
In 1999 it was time for the more ‘mature’ members of the family to retire to the golf course, allowing the next generation to make their mark in the trade. In that year Fry & Pollard sold out to the TRICOM Group who then immediately promoted Chris and Dave Norden making them the youngest branch managers in TRICOM’s history.
In 2007 the Norden family (including those who had previously retired!) united again to form Norden Heating & Plumbing Supplies Ltd and soon established excellent relationships with many of the local installers in the Epsom and surrounding areas. The new company has enjoyed good, steady growth and continues to expand. A second warehouse unit was acquired two years ago in Kiln Lane next to the original unit, and the company now boasts an annual turnover in excess of £5 million. NBG Partners since 01.01.2017
