Rembrand Timber Ltd bought Rembrand Builders Merchants Ltd in 2016. There has been no formal links between the companies since 2003, but sharing the same name has often led to some confusion and we are sure this development will be a benefit to both companies.
Rembrand Timber is a family owned and managed business established in 1982 when George Low opened a small timber merchants in the east end of Dundee. Over a 30 year period Rembrand Timber has added 19 sites to its portfolio, increasing the number of branches in Scotland to 20.
Rembrand Builders Merchants Ltd will continue to trade in its own right as a subsidiary of Rembrand Timber Limited. We will continue to provide a quality service, competitive pricing and excellent stock availability to both retail and trade customers, operating a delivery service to locations in Tayside, Fife and Perthshire.
On the 2nd July 2018 Rembrand joined Thornbridge and NYTimber to create the leading independent timber distribution company in Scotland and the North of England, with the retirement of George Low. You can read the full press release here.
As of 1st October 2019 we merged with Scotia Roofing Supplies and are trading as Scotia Roofing and Building Supplies Ltd (SRB) offering our customers a specialist Roofing and Building supplies experience with branches in Dundee and Coatbridge.
