Formed in 1985, Valves Instruments Plus Ltd have earned a reputation for setting standards in quality, service and reliability, selling Valves and Instruments into the ‘HEVAC’ industry, representing many major branded products, which are VIP still provide today.
Originally trading in the Strangeways area of Manchester, these premises were outgrown within 5 years. The company moved to larger premises in Newton Heath. VIP then acquired its Process Division in 1993, expanding the company's product base to include C/S and S/S valves, Actuation Packages, Control Valves and much more. In 1994 the company became fully ISO 9001 accredited, and is still proudly certified to the present day.
In 2001 VIP acquired the business of F Ashton (ES) Ltd, an established engineering merchant who had traded since 1922, and a well-respected company, known as specialists in steam products. As the company continued to grow, they moved to their new premises in Salford. In 2005 the company became Investors In People accredited, and continues this commitment to service and development to this day.
It was during this time that VIP expanded its product range further, selling Pumps in partnership with companies such as Armstrong. In 2008 a wide range of Plumbing and Heating products were added to the company portfolio, selling sanitaryware, boilers, piping, fittings, taps, and more.
By 2009 VIP had expanded to such an extent that new premises were needed once again. Valves Instruments Plus Ltd now operate from a purpose built 20,000 square foot premises in Astley, Manchester, where the company still resides to this day. The VIP own brand range of products was introduced in 2010, adding a wide selection of products including TMV mixing valves, bronze gate / globe / check valves, rubber bellows, C/I N/R valves, butterfly valves, DZR commissioning and many, many more.
In 2015 the company proudly celebrated 30 years of servicing the Building, Plumbing and Process industries. In 2016 an Expansion design service was added to support VIP's existing WRAS approved range of expansion joints & flexibles, as well as a full supporting product range.
